Owner guide: run your salon on GetMySaloon.

Everything an owner can do, in the order you will meet it. Each section says what the screen shows and what you do next.

    Updated

    1. Create your account

GetMySaloon is free for salon owners. You work from a browser or from the installed app.

    1. 1Open the sign in page and choose the Salon Owner tab, then choose Sign up.
    2. 2Enter your name, 10-digit mobile number, email and a password. The password needs at least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a special character, and no spaces. Or use Sign in with Google.
    3. 3We email you a 6-digit code. Type it in. The code works for 10 minutes. You can ask for a new one after 30 seconds.
    4. 4You land on your home screen. If you signed up with Google and have no mobile number saved, you are asked to add one first. You only do this once, and no code is sent.

Forgot your password? Choose Forgot password on the sign in page. We email a reset link that works for 15 minutes.

    2. Set up your salon

From the home screen choose Create your salon. It is a 3-step form.

    1. 1Basic info: salon name, address, city, state, country (India is the default), phone, email and number of chairs (1 to 50). A logo is optional.
    2. 2Hours: switch each day of the week open or closed and set the opening and closing time. Sunday starts as closed, other days start at 09:00 to 20:00.
    3. 3Services: add each service with its name, price in rupees and duration in minutes (at least 5). You can add as many as you need.
    • Later, open My salon to change any of this. You can also add a photo gallery there: up to 10 images, JPEG, PNG or GIF, 2 MB each.
    • Number of chairs matters: it is the most customers you can serve at the same time. Staff cannot start another service when all chairs are busy.
    • Your salon gets its own public page that customers can find, with your services, prices, hours, gallery, products and live waiting list.

    3. Run more than one salon

    • One owner account can hold up to 10 salons.
    • Use the salon switcher at the top of the menu to pick which salon you are working on. Everything you see (waiting list, bills, earnings, team, products, customers, email marketing) is for the selected salon only.
    • The switcher also has Add salon and an All salons list showing each salon's name, location and how many people are on its waiting list.

    4. Your home screen

    • On your waiting list: how many people are waiting and how many are being served right now.
    • Open waiting list, Add to waiting list (for a walk-in) and Generate bill buttons.
    • Customers served today and Earned today.
    • Shortcuts to edit services and prices, manage staff and see your customers.

    5. Run the live waiting list

The Waiting list page shows everyone waiting and everyone being served. It refreshes by itself.

    1. 1Customers join from their phone. For someone standing in your shop, choose Add to waiting list and enter their name. Phone and email are optional and no account is needed.
    2. 2When a chair is free, choose Start service on the next customer. This opens their session.
    3. 3Need to remove someone? Choose Cancel. If they were only waiting, the people behind move up. If they were being served, the service stops and no bill is made.
    • Customers get an email and a phone alert when they are about two places from their turn (the phone alert needs the app installed). They are also alerted if you cancel their booking.
    • The waiting list page shows chairs in use out of your total chairs.

    6. Serve a customer and create the bill

    1. 1In the session, under Add services, pick the service and who did it. You can change the price for that customer if needed. Add as many services as were done.
    2. 2Optional: choose Give a discount. It can be a percentage (up to 100) or a flat rupee amount that is less than the bill.
    3. 3Choose how they paid: Cash or Online.
    4. 4Choose Finish and create bill, then confirm. The bill is created, the visit is marked done, and the customer gets the PDF by email when they have an email.

A finished bill cannot be edited. The price of each service is saved at the time it is added, so changing your price list later never changes old bills.

    7. Bill someone without the waiting list

Use Generate bill on the home screen or Waiting list page for a customer who did not join the waiting list, such as a quick walk-in sale.

    1. 1Enter the customer name. Phone and email are optional. Add an email if you want the bill emailed.
    2. 2Add one or more services, choose who did each, and change the price if needed.
    3. 3Add a discount if you like, choose Cash or Online, and generate the bill.
    4. 4Download the PDF straight away, generate another, or open all bills.

You need at least one service and one team member added before you can generate bills. The customer is not added to the waiting list. The sale still counts in your earnings and in your customer list.

    8. Bills and earnings

The Bills & earnings menu has two tabs.

    • Bills: every bill for the selected salon with the total shown. Filter by date, search by bill or booking number, then download the PDF, resend it to the customer by email, or share it on WhatsApp (needs the customer's phone number).
    • Earnings: pick Today, This month or your own dates. You see total revenue, completed and total bookings, revenue by service, the split between cash and online payments, a service table (times done, average price, revenue) and an employee table.
    • Click an employee to see their detail page: services done, total collected, average per service and a log with customer, payment mode and time.

Earnings show statistics only. GetMySaloon does not calculate salaries.

    9. Your team

    • Employees: add staff with a name and an optional phone. When you remove one, they are deactivated and their past work stays in your records. You choose which employee did each service while billing.
    • Manager: each salon can have one active manager. Choose Assign, enter their name, email, a password and optional phone. They get their login by email.
    • If the email already belongs to one of your managers, they are added to this salon too and keep their password. So one manager login can run several of your salons.
    • Managers sign in at /manager/auth. Their portal has the waiting list, adding walk-ins, starting services, cancelling, and the session where they log services, give a discount and complete the bill. They cannot see earnings, bills history, customers, products or email marketing.

    10. Products

Show the products you sell on your salon page. Customers can see them but cannot buy online. They buy at your salon.

    • Add a product with a name and price. Optional: MRP (shown struck through), category, description and up to 3 photos (JPEG, PNG or GIF, under 2 MB each).
    • Each product has an In stock switch (off shows an Out of stock tag) and a Visible to customers switch (off hides it).
    • You can add up to 50 products. The highest price is 99,999.99 rupees.

    11. Your customers and notifications

    • The Customers page lists people who have booked with you (cancelled bookings do not count), tagged Registered or Walk-in. See visits, total spent and last visit. Search by name or phone and sort by recent, most visits or most spent.
    • Send Notification pushes a message to your customers: a title (up to 100 characters) and a message (up to 250). You can send 2 per day. It reaches customers who have completed a visit with you and have notifications turned on.

    12. Email marketing

Send ready-made emails to your past customers from the Email marketing page.

    1. 1Choose a style: Special Offer, Sale Announcement or We Miss You.
    2. 2Write your email. Fill the fields for the style (for example headline, message, discount, offer code, dates or highlights). Use {name} for the customer's name and {salon} for your salon name. Links, HTML and email addresses are not allowed.
    3. 3Check the Preview, then send.
    • Who gets it: customers who have booked with you, have a real email address and have not unsubscribed.
    • Limits per salon: 5 sends a day and 500 emails a month. The page shows how much you have used.
    • Emails go out in small batches, so it takes a little while. Sent emails shows live progress. You can cancel a campaign, which stops emails not yet sent.
    • Every email has an unsubscribe link. People who use it are never emailed by that salon again.

    13. Install the app

    • GetMySaloon works in your browser. You can also add it to your home screen: Android and desktop show an Install button, and on iPhone use Share, then Add to Home Screen.
    • Phone alerts for owners and managers only work once the app is installed. On iPhone this needs iOS 16.4 or later, and you may be asked to tap Enable notifications.
